Mercury. A tiny planet very near the Sun. Because of this, it is never far above the horizon when the Sun is below the horizon. So it is difficult to capture at high resolution, and I haven't tried. I have, however, been fortunate to record every Mercury transit that was visible in Colorado since 1999: 1999, 2006, 2016, and 2019. The next one that is visible from Colorado will be in 2049... so don't expect this page to change anytime soon!

Transits of Mercury always occur in May or November.
